This book is a graphic novel, the book is 233 pages long, the Author of the book is Cece Bell. The reason I chose this book is because the author tells us what her childhood was like and all the struggles she had while growing up as well. The story takes place in Roanoke, Virginia. It is a story from what adults call “Back in the day” and yes most of the story takes place in Roanoke all though it doesn’t give a specific date. The setting is definitely a very important part of the story because most of her struggles and problems with society take place there.
