The bombing of pearl harbor and the incarceration of many

The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, on December 7, 1941. It was a devastating time for the Japanese American citizens at this time because some felt without a country now, most felt embarrassed by the fact that their home country japan had done such a thing. The result of the Japanese blind side on december 7, 1941 was quickly taken into the government's as everyone was aroused by the fact that pearl harbor had just been bombed, many caucasian american citizens were quick to point fingers at the Japanese American citizens for this terrorist like act. Later to find out that these Japanese American citizens were just as loyal as anyone, but still showed pity for there home country. Incarceration was put upon these citizens which caused a great conspiracy, and made many Japanese American citizens doubt their loyalty many times. War time hysteria, racism, and failure of leadership played huge roles in those desolate times, later to look back and be ashamed

But one factor stands out the most and if prevented could have changed the ways of the war drastically. By evaluating the factors one tends to play a slightly bigger role and in this case it’s, “wartime hysteria.” With this in mind, wartime hysteria if handled correctly could have calmly and collectively change many different rushed decision. In the first 48 hours of the bombing of pearl harbor, everyone was in a chaotic blur and decisions were made poorly out of panic. This could been avoided swiftly by patience and a soothing explanation over live air going over instructions of how to calmly handle this situation. But by this time american citizens have gone on with rage, pointing fingers at the Nisei and Issei excusing them for what was brought upon them. As well as failure of leadership, this could all have been calmly been dealt with, with proper wartime
