These two speeches are different because they are not only at separate times of the era, but two different tragedies that impacted America and its people hugely. Pearl Harbor was a responsibility failure when Japan attacked, causing World War II to start involving the U.S. While slightly on the other hand, 9/11 was a natural failure that was unexpected but dramatically killed us Americans mentally and physically.
