Two States one brotherhood “Don’t interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties”. That is a famous quote from Abraham Lincoln former ex president of the United States. He started his political career in the state of Illinois, that’s why today in his honor the state of Illinois is called the Land of Lincoln. In his Quote, he mentioned the Constitution; it is the Supreme Law of the United States of America. This is the most important document in USA and was adopted on September 17, 1787 by the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is obvious that these two former states of the United States have played an important role in American history. Even though their roles were different back then, this two states have many similarities now in present time. Time has passed and these two states have grown up. To do this, they needed a good standing economy. Both states are based in agriculture that consists in livestock and crops. Also one of the main sources of income is the manufacturing. Chemicals are the leading manufacturing product in Illinois as it is in Pennsylvania. Mining is also another source of income for both states. Coal is their principal mined product. We can say that both states have a strong economy. Education plays and important role. There are a lot of elementary, secondary, and higher institutions schools in Pennsylvania and Illinois. In general, under state law, school attendance in both states is mandatory for a child from the age of 8 until the age of 17, or until graduation from an accredited High
