You can reveal unbelievable amounts of strengths and courage when fighting for something you love. Percy does this when fighting the minotaur, by escaping Medusa’s garden, and when he when whent to the underworld to negotiate with Hades. Percy showed great strength and courage when fighting to get his mother back throughout the novel.
After Percy’s mom get sent to the underworld by the minotaur Percy suddenly gets a drive to fight for his mother and he defeats the beast. “Anger replaced my fear. Newfound strength burned in my limbs…” is what percy felt after the minotaur made his mother
