In the previous field notes I discussed a client by the name of Candy Pam. Today I went along with the case manager to admit Candy Pam into Chestnut Mental Health facility. Candy Pam suffers from alcohol abuse. She consumes alcohol throughout the day being that she is a minor (16 years old) that is a crime. Candy Pam was to a mental facility before for her drinking problem, hopefully this time will be the last time she is in a mental facility. When I first walked into the facility Candy Pam looked me up and down and I could see she wanted to know who I was. When I sat down the caseworker introduced me to her and she was nonchalant about meeting me. She did not pay any attention to me but at some point she stared at me as if she wanted me to walk away and not be there at all. I knew that she was down about being admitted, but I also knew the look that females give one another when they first meet one another. I could see in her eyes that she did not want to be there, but she knew she needed to be there. Candy Pam tried to mask her feelings by stating that she is okay, she has friends in the facility; however, I knew she did not want to be there.
