The traffic and chilly wind doesn’t appear to scare people from coming out to City Creek Mall. I took a seat near the fountain where everyone seems enthrall to. The millennial music playing in the background combined with loud splashing water booming in consumer’s ears. The wind caressing the trees, whispering melodies to our ears, and the leaves embraces its companion. The sun parted way with the sky early today, leaving only gloomy clouds greeting the city.
I sit behind a group of young ladies schmoozing the day away. With their high heel boots, leather jackets, curled hair, and that latte cup they got at the cafe behind them, I instantly thought of typical white girls. Families seem to enjoy their Saturday evening at the mall. Families who are not close don’t spend free time together at the mall; they would rather spend it by themselves or with someone else. I know this from my own experience. However, the families here all seem very happy and close to each other. Smiling, chatting, laughing, sharing food, picking clothes for each other, a perfect Saturday evening. A lot of fathers are left with the baby, while the mothers shop. I overheard a father talking to his son in the gentlest tone; I would like a husband like that one day. Fathers seem so gentle and happy playing with their kids. A young girl strolling a stroller around with killer heels and a crop top in this weather makes it look like it’s still July but its October and 50 degrees outside. Her caked face looks like she is ready to meet Rihanna. Her body language coveys the confidence she has in her appearance. Flicking her long black hair back, swaying her body left and right while strolling that stroller, her back arched for that butt and chest to shine.
