Personal Narrative: A Roller Coaster Ride

Today we are going to ride a roller coaster that I have never been on. We are going to be waiting in a line for a while before getting on “The Mamba”.

My family, one day, went to Worlds of Fun. Near the end of the day my brother, his girlfriend, Alexis, and I were walking to wait in line for the “Mamba”. When I saw the line for the Mamba I thought to myself “we will not be waiting very long”. When we actually got to the line I said “I guess I was wrong”. It was actually very very long.

When we were actually in the line I said, “We are going to be here forever”. When the line was moving, it was moving very slowly. Trenton, Alexis and I were very bored out of our minds. It was very boring to just stand there and not talk at all.

“I wish we had those fast passes. If we did we could have rode it five times already.” I said. Then the line started moving a little bit more. We were still pretty far from the beginning of the roller coaster but getting closer to getting on.

We are getting extremely close to the front of the line. “I am so excited to get on the Mamba I can’t wait” I said. “When we get on the roller coaster, I might have motion sickness and i might throw up my lunch” I said.

We are so close to getting on the roller coaster. In one more round, we were getting on the ride, “The Mamba”. We were about to get on it. The next one is coming and we are going to get on in about a minute. “Are you ready to get on?” Trenton asked me. “Yes I am.” I said excitedly.

When we got on the roller coaster the person that controlled the roller coaster knocked on the desk and curved his fingers to make them look like fangs. Then we started going. It started out slowly and up a steep incline we went. When it got to the top, it went straight down and we were going extremely fast. It whipped us around and then it twirled us around. Up and down and around and around we went. When it finished, I really wanted to go again, but it was about time to leave and the line was still very
