Personal Narrative: Boca De Rio

It was a cool morning, the sky was cloudy, the wind was blowing. As I went outside I felt the breeze go through my hair making it go in the direction of the breeze. I heard the chickens with their chicks walking through the yard. While the chickens were out walking I would always go to their nest and get their eggs and give them to my grandma every morning. As soon as I finished I went to the area where the sheep, cows, and one bull were to go feed them their food. That bull was my favorite animal out of all. I remember I was feeding it one day and I was with my grandmother when I was scared of it still.
She said, “Arisandi do you want to get on top of it?”

The beach is located in Veracruz and its name is Boca de Rio, which means mouth of the lake. I remember that a couple days before leaving my mom's side of the family decided to enjoy the family before we had to leave back to the United States. In that beach, there were these stands where there were women who did beautiful braids. My mom let a woman do my hair. I was sitting by the beach and looking at the waves crash against the sand while playing with a seashell that I had found in the ocean. There were seagulls everywhere, flying in the air and walking across the coast. People were in the sun tanning and reading their magazines. Kids were building sand castles and playing in the water with their floaties. Whenever the women finished doing my hair and my aunts finished getting their hair done we all took a picture together. We all were smiling and very happy for the picture, but I was a little sad that the trip was ending. It was an amazing experience going to the country where my parents lived as children. I have many memories that I still remember from this experience and I hope to go back soon one day. Mexico will always be important to
