My high opinion of myself quickly shifted after I moved here. I realized that I am no longer the only student who has lived the crazy global life, the only student who had extensive travel experience, but instead I was average. Being bi or tri- lingual is almost a standard among my peers, they have seen as much or more than I have of this world, lived and learned alongside other international students their whole life. My roommates are from Bavaria, Prague, Quebec, and Paris, they all speak at least two languages, have studied in different countries throughout their academic life. I will admit that it is sometimes difficult to constantly be surrounded by people who do live and learn differently than I do but I would never trade this opportunity. This experience continues to be eye opening, enthralling, and always keeping me on my toes and I am so thankful for
