There I was, face to face with danger. In front of me stood a 2,000 pound, 18 hand... Draft horse? Yes, it was the first day of my SAE, and what I thought was just going to beef production also included percheron draft horses.
I trembled in my muck boots as I scooped grain for each horse. The mares at the far end of the barn grew impatient and kick their stall doors. A sound like thunder terrified me.
In FFA and in life in general we all have a “draft horse” to face. An enormous and intimidating challenge before each of us. For most it's not a literal horse, maybe it's your first time giving the creed, or you are overcoming financial struggle. It could even be picking a college to attend. Whatever it may be, the challenges and trials will
