Personal Narrative: Entering Little Falls Community High School

Being in high school for four years has changed many aspects of my life. Entering Little Falls Community High School, many students undergo changes from their freshman year to their senior year. Various aspects of my life have been altered, such as physical, mental, and social abilities. Although my physical ability has decreased, my mental and social abilities have expanded. Physical, mental, and social growth are important in an adolescents life so they can continue to grow for the rest of their lives.
In ninth grade I participated in Gymnastics and Soccer. With both of these sports there is weightlifting twice a week and conditioning. My body became stronger and healthier with being physically fit. After tenth grade, I decided Gymnastics was not the right fit for me so I had decided not to pursue the sport anymore. By senior year my ankle injury had taken me out of weightlifting. Also, in my senior year I had sprained my Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL), putting me in an immobilizer for weeks. Freshman year had started out good with friends and family. However, as the year went on I lost most of my closest friends. This had caused me to suffer through a state of depression for almost two years. I had been cutting and thinking about and once attempting suicide. After my attempt, I saw how my family and the people around me had been affected and I knew I needed to change. Junior year was about counseling and finding the right friends that made me feel good about myself and did not tear my confidence apart. As I went through this process I know life is worth living. As a senior now I have new friends and have fun every time we hangout. I love my life and everyone in it. I am now confident in myself and the choices I
