School came with new responsibilities; I had to hide the fact that I was an ink drinker, and hide the engraving on my arm. These responsibilities were hard to keep up with throughout the day, but 7th period would forever change my life. As I mixed hydrogen, oxygen, sodium, and fluorine, a gas released and slipped up the sleeve of my shirt. Immediately, my arm began to burn. The liquid that had earlier came out of my arm began to bubble. The next thing I knew, a gruesome bubble the size of a basketball was on my arm and I was levitating. The bubble kept expanding and I felt the ceiling, which I was now pushing against, creak. Suddenly, the abrasion on the roof made me go right through the ceiling and fly upwards at what must have been 20 mph. I began to get dizzy once I lost sight of the clouds… because I was in them. While grimacing at the pain of the bubble, I only saw darkness and fear surrounding me. I knew that these were my last moments, but who would’ve guessed that I would die from leaving the atmosphere, and had been bitten by a vampire all in 36 hours. I thought of what the kids in my chemistry class were thinking when I shot out of the school and left earth without a trace of my existence ever being there. And of my dad, who had no idea of my “disease”, where I was, or if he would ever see me again. I began to close my eyes… this was the end.
