Looking back, I wish I had never gone go-karting with my cousin, Taylor. It wrecked my knee and the rest of my trip, but hopefully not the rest of my soccer career. It happened when we went to Boomers, an amusement park, on July 13, 2017, my birthday.
We drove down to our grandparent’s house on Saturday because my parents wanted to get rid of my brother and I. But all week, we had so much fun going on what felt like thousands of rides. Boomers was the last amusement park we would visit. We were exhausted, but the tickets were already purchased, so there was no turning back. Once there, we went straight to the go-karts. After two hours, I was so tired that Taylor and I shared a go-kart for one final round. She drove so fast, I almost fell
