Gum Throwing Contest
Do you want to hear a funny story about gum? On a Friday afternoon I sat in my math class, bored, I sat next to my friend Jake. Jake munched on a piece of Grape Big League chew, which is my favorite flavor. So I asked for a piece and as I started to chew on the gum the flavor started to pour out. The flavoring to the Grape Big League Chew does not taste like a grape, it has more of a strong sour tangy taste to it. I chomped on the chewing gum and attempted to pay attention, then Jake turned to me and said” Bet you can’t get the gum stuck to the ceiling before I do.” So I accepted the challenge, not just because I was bored but I’m also very competitive. Not only was I nervous that he was going to report us to the deans I was also nervous cause we had a football game after that class, and this was the last class of the day. I was also very bored cause it was the last period of the day on a Friday, and I was about to fall asleep but the only thing keeping me up was the butterflies in my stomach bouncing around. As I look up at the ceiling I can see the pieces of gum, and smell the strong grape flavored big league chew bubble gum linger from off the ceiling. I remember from that day was that I had a football game after school, and the thing I was most excited about was naptime. As I waited for the bell to ring I started to dose off because I had not gotten much sleep the night before.
