I get out of bed and look out the window.
The sun yawns as it rises over the houses,
I hear the SQUEAL of little mouses.
I stretch real big before I leave,
I can’t believe it’s not Christmas eve.
I exit the room in my new golf clothes,
I walk so silently, no one knows.
As I reach the bottom of the brown stairs,
I hear my stomach ROAR like a bear.
I walk to the kitchen and smell the ‘cakes,
I see my dad making green veggie shakes.
I sit down to eat my burning hot meal,
I tell my dad, “It’s going to get real.”
As I finish my breakfast, I head to the car,
My dad gets my clubs and says, “It’s not far.”
We wake up the engine and it revs very loud,
There’s so little traffic, it’s like driving on a cloud.
