While quaint and fairly insignificant, my room was home to the building blocks to be set in motion when I started playing guitar. It harbored my interest and experience, allowing me to better my skills through experimentation. My room was like a factory, but instead of goods or materials, it manufactured thoughts and ideas. My interest in guitar hit somewhat of a plateau when I became bored of the sounds and tones I was able to produce from my amplifier.
One Christmas, I received a BOSS ME-25 multi-FX pedal. This pedal allowed me to manipulate the sounds from the instrument much simpler, and in many different ways. That day, my interest jumped to the same depths it was at before my interest peaked, and continued to deepen from there. The interface on this device was very simple to use, and when paired with the manual, I quickly learned how to manipulate it to its fullest extent, which led to me achieving a much greater understanding in controls and sound building on an amplifier or modulation
