I have taken developmental writing and reading just the past few weeks and made A's in both classes. Like every Richland student, I had to take the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) which is a test every new or transfer student takes to determine if that student is college-level ready. I wasn't so my adviser place me in Developmental Reading 0091 and Developmental Writing 0091, in the beginning I thought it was a waste of time and money ,so I set a goal for myself to finish all my developmental classes in one semester because I plan to finish Richland in two years to transfer. Therefore, I am deserving of the Joe Mosley Scholarship. From the start, I thought taking developmental classes was a waste of time because now I'm behind. An average
