Letting go
I am setting a goal of not communicating with my ex girlfriend Yvonne during the next three to four months. We broke up about five months ago because we got into a huge fight. It was about a month before I moved to Odessa from Los Angeles. It is important to me not to communicate with Yvonne to help me get over her breaking up with me. I have her cell phone and work numbers saved in my phone. I also have her email and Facebook, Instagram, Pintrest, and even an app that notifies me when her favorite bands are in town so Yvonne and I could go see them preform saved on my phone. By deleting her information it will keep from calling, texting and emailing Yvonne. I'm the one who is usually initiating contact and if I don't try to contact her it will be a few days until she finaly will. Seeing how we are no longer in a relationship I need to stop making her my priority. She has told me “that I am no longer a priority in her life” and that she will not respond if she is busy. I have pictures of us framed on my wall from when we traveled and went to concerts. I am still in possession of things she gave me, like sweaters, shirts, bags and other miscellaneous stuff. I also have things that has special meaning because we shared an experience together, like the ticket stub from the movie we went on out first date, the shirt I bought at a concert we went to together or souvenirs from the different cities we visited. I will erase all the text messages and pictures from my phone and Facebook. If I keep them the will only lead to temptation of trying to reach out to her. Although they are special to me, they only help remind me of her which will ultimately will lead to me trying to contact
