It was my AAU team's second tournament of the season and we were so excited to play. It was the game to determine if we were going to the championship game, we had won all of our other games that day so we were ready to win this one and go to the championship game. It was our team, against Eastern York. When we were having our pre-game talk before the game, I told my coach about some of their players because I had played them before. When I played them before, they weren't very good and I thought that we would have the win in no doubt!
The game before us ended and it was our turn to play. We warmed up and we looked very good and we looked like we were ready to win. All of our shoots were going in and we were all ready. The 5 minutes that we had to warm the buzzer went off and it was game time. We did our chant and then the coach told us who was in. We started to throw bad passes which lead the other team to steal the ball and have fast breaks. Our lead started to go down as they started making baskets. When the 4th quarter came around the score lead kept jumping because now they were a basket or 2 behind us. When the last minute came around, the game was tied. I got fouled with 30 seconds left and I was put on the foul line. I was so nervous that my hands were sweating really bad and I missed both shots. I let my team down and I was upset.
