Personal Narrative: My Day At Pillans Middle School

One Monday morning at Pillans Middle School I was selling candy to all the cool kids in the gym during my third period which was Physical Education. During my seventh grade year of middle school I felt untouchable. I felt so untouchable that I looked at everyone as a friend or some type of associate. This was my way of thinking until that crushing blow hit. I came from P.E. and all my candy and money was gone. This day taught me a very valuable lesson that sticks with me like glue, keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer because everyone is not your friend. On one Monday morning I woke up with a heavy heart knowing I had a big day ahead of me. The night before my mother told me that I needed to create some type of ambition for myself because everything in life is not going to be handed to me on a silver platter. My mother helped me create that ambition for myself by having me sell candy at school. The Middle school I attended at the time was Pillans Middle School home of the War Eagles. During my time at Pillans I was what you called a Jock due to me being a part of our undefeated football. That day I had two book bags. The first bag I had was my typical book bag which was a blue and white Nike elite backpack. The second book was a whole lot smaller I mean so small that it able to fit in my Nike book bag this was my candy bag. My candy bag consisted of every piece of candy that you could ever dream of Skittles, Starburst, Snickers, Twix, etc. Word got around pretty fast that I was selling candy so by the end of second period I had a pretty nice clientele of people wanting to buy candy.
