I made it across the street but then my next big obstacle came, an incline. But with a backpack it made it really hard, the wheelchair already seemed to be back side heavy but when you add a heavy backpack and an incline it is not a good mix. I had almost fallen over backwards, which is where I made my first discovery. Do not wear a backpack with the chair it will not end well. Wheeling along the sidewalk I had began to notice the chair would not stay in the middle it kept moving to the right which is where the street was. So at one point I had gotten stuck in the edge of a crack. That is when I first had someone ask if I needed help. I wanted to say yes but I also wanted to figure it out on my own, so I declined and went back to trying to get myself unstuck. While in my dorm I was thinking of different ways that I could get to class, which again was in the ED Center, and not have any hills. I remembered that I could take the elevator to the basement and then go into the Ed Center through the lower level door and take the elevator up to my next class. I was proud of myself when I had finally made into class. Also with the fact that I did not need to “cheat” to get there. I give people credit for making it everywhere that they do when most of this school has all of the hills and bad pavement/sidewalks that they do. It is hard enough to go down a steep slope but also have to avoid all of the cracks that you get stuck
