After talking to the recruiters at work, I knew that I wanted to be a part of the organization. I met them at the recruiting office, that same day, to talk more in depth about the standards and requirements. Some of the benefits of joining were education, traveling, and self-confidence just to name a few. Although, it sounded great, what motivated me to join was the prideful feeling of being part of such respected and unique organization. With rich history that showed the world extraordinary bravery and the Marine Corps was the toughest branch out of all. Also, I wanted to be part of a smaller size supportive family of individuals from all over the United Sates that form only 1% of the country population. I had always wanted to go to school and continue furthering my education. I wasn’t sure on what specifically, but was sure that I wanted to stick with what I had already learned in the military which is trucking, so I could use all these attributes in my advantage. For example, I was assigned to lead others marines as part of my job when I got promoted to a non-commissioned Officer. I was responsible for their wellbeing and making sure they knew how to do their job correctly and efficiently. I also learned to communicate with others and understood how important it was for a group to be as efficient as one. Being a professional in the work place and not letting my emotions and opinions influence my decisions was one of the greatest qualities to obtain. With some work and dedication, I was able to prepare for my
