The starters were sitting on the bench ready to get their names called for introductions. My name boomed over the loudspeaker. The next thing I knew we were lined up waiting for the jump ball, the whistle blew. The game was underway. From there on, all the noise and cheering around me was zoned out. I was focused on the only thing that mattered- the game. The words “survive and advance” kept resurfacing in my brain. Our lead was building throughout the first half of the game. At one point of the game we were up by a whopping 18 points. Our whole team was playing phenomenal; everyone was doing their own job and not one person was trying to do too much. The buzzer sounded at the end of the first half, and our crowd was hyped. We were all running to the locker
