She retrieved it and gave it to my coach. The funny thing is, I didn’t get the ball right away. After the game, we went out to right field and had our post-game talk. Meanwhile my coach still had the ball in his pants pocket. He said, “And now for our MVP.” I stood up and all of the parents and teammates stood around me as coach presented me with my homerun ball. It was a very proud moment for me. I went home and never took my eye off of that baseball. I later then went to bed with the ball still in my hand. A few days later, I finally put the ball in my home run ball case. I knew that case would continue to fill
