Personal Narrative: My High School Baseball Team

As a child my favorite hobby was by far baseball. I played whenever the opportunity arose; I got really competitive from traveling across multiple states by car for a tournament to flying a plane to the other side of the US. My baseball team was made up of friends that turned to brothers as we played baseball for 7 years together. We went undefeated multiple years in a row, dominating the opponents. Like all good things my baseball career started to come to an end as I reached high school, but we still had one season left before we would all be going our separate ways to play for our school baseball team. The last tournament we played was in Chicago. As usual we all traveled to Chicago to meet at the hotel and head out to go practice for our first game of the tournament. The first game was ugly. They crushed two home runs and struck out every single player on our team at least once. As we approached our second game we all got over the loss and we put it behind us and ended up winning the next game. We got moved on to the next round of the tournament and half of the teams had been eliminated. There were four left. My team was placed in fourth and for the semi finals we had to play the team ranked first.
By some miracle we were exempt from the game when they dropped out of the tournament. Automatically we were in the championship game and. We come to find out that for the championship game we were playing the Chicago Blues, who had defeated us the first game. But this game went differently as we started off in the lead. I had never seen my team so pumped up before a game it was very exuberating. We were up by two runs until the last inning when they won the game with a three person
