Personal Narrative: My High School Dance

When I was in the fifth grade at Conder elementary I was excited and nervous about attending the fifth grade dance. The dance took place on a Friday night during the fourth nine weeks in April. I had my outfit together for about a week before the dance started. I had on a black blazer, white V-neck tee shirt, a pair of jeans and some white Air force-1 sneakers. I also had on a silver chain with a cross on it. I was looking super cute that night. So my mom dropped me off at that the dance and told me to have fun. So when my mom picked me up from the dance she noticed that I was walking a little different. So she asked me “what’s wrong with you and why are you limping? I said” I hurt my foot at the dance”. So when we got home I took of my shoes off and my foot was swollen and I was in pain. …show more content…
My mom also gave me medicine for the pain. I did this all weekend but the swelling did not go down. So my mom took me to the doctor that Monday morning and discovered that I had broken my foot. My mom had no idea that my foot was broke. Who goes to a school dance and breaks their foot? I had to have a cast on for six weeks and then were a boot for another four weeks. When the cast was first put on I was so sad because I could not do a lot of the things I was used to doing because the bones in his foot were so shattered. The school felt it was in his best interest for him to be in a wheelchair when they had to go to activities that due to some of the long walks. I had to participate in the award ceremony and my fifth grade trip with a cast on my foot. I hated the cast and the boot that I had to were.
