I was pushed to my physical limits but mentally I stayed strong. I stayed persistent and determined. I was going to make it to the top no matter what came my way. Slowly but surely we did make it to the top and seeing Yosemite Valley from the peak of Half Dome is surreal. I was left speechless trying to fathom the beauty of mother nature. I felt satisfied knowing that my body was both physically and mentally capable of handling this challenge at the age of 15. My mother calls it being hard-headed and stubborn but I see it as my way to success. I like to finish what I start. I dedicate my time and effort to where it is most needed. Doing this helps me improve as a person and a student. I often challenge myself by taking AP classes in subjects I dislike. I don’t do this as a form of torture but rather as an opportunity to be a better student that I was before.
