I was born in Guatemala and raised almost all my life there. Guatemala is a beautiful country with breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and has kind and hardworking people. Unfortunately, it also suffers from extreme poverty and violence. I have always considered myself a caring person as I always try to help people the best I can. When my dad ran for vice president, I got the opportunity to travel to different parts of my country and what I saw was heartbreaking. Before this, I had never been outside of the city and did not know the extreme conditions in which many guatemalans are living in.
