The winter of my Junior year I had the opportunity to write an essay about what my responsibilities are as a United states citizen for a chance to win a scholarship. However, not everyone in the class wanted to write the essay, but since it was a great opportunity my teacher made it mandatory for us to accomplish. Therefore, it was up to us to decide what we thought was our true responsibilities to America.. Also, it was a challenge for me to write in a way, were it seemed professional and intellectual. I wanted to do my best on this assignment in order for a chance at this scholarship. She explained the requirements each essay had to include. After hearing the necessities, I became overwhelmed with all that I had to accomplish. The next couple of days I took time in class creating my outline and main points. With the broad title “My Responsibility To America” I could write about anything I thought was my true responsibility. I ended up taking a couple days in thinking what I wanted to write about, what my duties were as a citizen of the United states. After I thoroughly thought out my topic points I began writing my essay. The topics I felt were important combined with additional information came together to make an essay I was satisfied
