Personal Narrative: My Trip To Colorado

This past Christmas break, I was able to make a trip to Colorado and get to experience what Colorado was like, and I was able to experience the mountains and I fell in love. The atmosphere of the people was unlike anything that I had ever experienced before. They were all kind, they were not in a rush like you always see in Iowa. Every person was just living living there life and enjoying. However, most people are going to just assume that the reason most people want to live in this state is the use of recreational marijuana, and people will probably assume that people act the way that they do simply from the use of recreational marijuana. However, I saw it differently than that. You would see contraction workers going out of their way to help someone, or every time you passed someone they always had smile on their face and a wave or a peace sign for you. I know for a fact that these construction workers would never be under the influence while working at a dangerous job like this. They need to be focused and most likely their …show more content…
However, while I was in Colorado, I was able to see some of the most beautiful scenery that I have ever experienced in my life. When I visited, we went to Keystone Resort for a day to go snowboarding, and once we were at the top of the mountain, nearly 13,000 feet above sea-level, I was able to see some of the most breath taking sights that I have ever seen. I am choosing to take my trip to Colorado because I want to be in this atmosphere and be able to see this scenery once again. I have a fairly large amount of family that lives in the state, and I envy the stories that they tell about the days that they are able to spend on the mountains, and what they are able to experience while living out there. This truly is a beautiful state, and this is why I have chosen to take my spring break trip there to enjoy life while I am still
