I had just returned from Kentucky a few weeks earlier when my mom told me that we were going to travel to Illinois. We were planning on going for my cousins Bailee and Sarah’s birthday party. That was a Sunday, and after begging and begging (and a few tears) my mom miraculously agreed to let me stay there with my aunt until Tuesday.
