Personal Narrative: My Trip To New Mexico

It was the day before we went to New Mexico my heart was beating really fast cause I am running back and forth to get my clothes in my suitcase. I was SO EAGER for it to finally come and it was here. I had to pack a lot of clothes especially a nice dress for the wedding and warm clothes cause we were gonna stay in a cabin. That night I couldn’t sleep because I was so excited but then I remembered we still had to finish packing up the car so I tried my best to fall asleep. Then it was finally morning, I got dressed got my shoes on packed one last thing which was my chanclas(sandals) and got my bag all packed and ready and gave it to my grandpa to pack in the van. On the road my sister’s and I decided to play a game because we knew it was going to be a long trip so we played slide then an alligator one then last but not least paddy cake.

We came to a bathroom break, I asked my grandpa for money for snacks he said”Ok but let's all go in together”.

Probably because I was 8 and to him I guess that’s pretty small. I ate my snacks on the rest of the ride of course I shared cause I also liked what everyone else had. We came to the border of Arizona we took a lot of pictures because that was my sister’s and my first time. We kept driving until we saw a sign that said bathroom. I got some more snacks and shared also I used the restroom, I got to sleep on my pillow pet my mom got my sister’s and I on Christmas. We loved them so much, we pretended that the where our kids.
