Personal Narrative: My Trip To Nicaragua

This is such a loaded question with endless opportunities of where and what I could do with this ticket. I could take the easy route and go on a journey of a lifetime to see and experience things I couldn't see. Or, I could take a better route and use the ticket for my own good and use it to help others. I know this is probably an option many will choose, but I have a passion for spending my time helping others so I feel that I could use this ticket to better myself and those in need. With such a great opportunity put in front of me, I would love to use it to help others. So I feel a great way to spend this occasion to travel to the underdeveloped countries of Cambodia or Honduras on a Medical Volunteer Program to spend my time aiding the impoverished. Cambodia like most impoverished countries has an AIDS/ HIV epidemic along with falling life expectancy and a lack of healthcare available to the public. With Honduras being one of the less developed countries in Latin America access to healthcare is slim to none. Both of these countries would be a great way …show more content…
I remember when I was younger, my parents would always watch all the medical shows on TV which is what made me interested in that field. The idea of helping those and saving lives is something that I've always wanted to do. Although as I've grown up my ideas on my profession have changed but ultimately it came back to my true passion of pursuing the medical field. What is great about this program is that you don't need to have a medical degree, you could be a nurse or pre-med student that wants to volunteer their skills to help others. Since I am aspiring to be apart of the medical field, this would be great for me. The idea that I would be spending my time with others is a dream that I will continue to pursue well beyond my generation but I will pass this on to my family and friends as
