When arriving to our resort Bavaro, we were greeted by many of the staff workers, and escorted to our room. The very first task I had planned on my lists of activities for my husband and I is to enjoy the beautiful, radiant scenery of the blue ocean water. “Tyrell, once we are finished unpacking, we should go sit on the beach and enjoy the sight.” As Tyrell and I walked barefoot, breathing in the fresh ocean air, feeling the gritty sandy between our toes, reminiscing on our journey of love. Tyrell expressing his love to me, “Babe, since I first laid eyes on you at starbucks, I just knew I had to have you and make you my wife,” I slightly teared up because I knows he genuinely loves me. After a few hours of just talking and enjoying each other's company, we then headed back inside and to our surprise, we had a candlelit dinner with rose petals paving the way to the table. While eating Tyrell blurts out he’s feeling nauseous, “I think i’m going to puke,” Tyrell runs to the bathroom and vomits near the toilet. After Tyrell finished vomiting, I entered the bathroom to comfort him, and clean up the vomit off of the floor. I screamed and yelled “Help” several times until nurses and my husband ran in my room to see what was the matter. I asked multiple question trying to understand why I was in the hospital, and would I recover. My husband tells me that I fainted during our dolphin adventure and was rushed to the hospital. “Honey you’re seven and a half months pregnant,” I gasped in shock and disbelief, because how could I not have known such a thing. I screamed in excruciating pain, the nurse ran over to me and informed the hospital’s only Obstetrician on duty, I was five centimeters dilated and going into labor. After a long seventeen hours in labor I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Jayce Weatherman. We spent roughly three days in the neonatal intensive care unit because Jayce was born seven weeks premature. My husband and I ended our trip early to go home and have our baby in a cozy and pleasant environment.
