My dad was a teacher in a school district in Casa Grande, Arizona, and at the end of the year, the hard-working students got to take a trip to Magic Mountain. In addition to that, he told me that I could come along. I could not think of a way to say no, going to one of America’s best theme parks. They would leave overnight, arrive in the morning, spend all day at the park, and leave at night. After a good old McDonald’s breakfast, we went to the park on a rainy day, leaving us cold and shivering. After a long one hour wait to get in the park due to precipitation, we were finally able to start our amazing day there. This time, I did not chicken out on any of the rides, I rode everyone including the four-dimensional X2 and the 400 foot drop, Lex Luthor Drop of Doom. I had never felt such thrill, such weightlessness. The intensity was past its max, and the eagerness to get on the next roller coaster was unsettling. The whole day was wet, and some of the park’s best rides were closed due to construction and rain, including Superman: Escape From Krypton, Goliath, Scream, and Colossus, which had been remade into Twisted Colossus for later in the summer, so unfortunately for us we did not get to ride it.
