2. This experience was a difficult one for me, because I was in a place where I was dependant on another person to handle my business in the same manner that I would. It was hard to receive help, since I am always the one giving help. I had to learn how to receive help from another person.
3. Before this experience I was a person that was in control of what I needed to do for myself and not have to be put into another person schedule. I also had trust issues of people handling my business, and would they handle it like would. My feelings before were one of being in control and not needy, nor weak. This experience has influence me in my approach that clients need help, but it is not due to them being weak or incompetent. My approach is that the client is seeking a person they can trust. In trusting the person for help the client must be willing to surrender total control in order to get the help they are seeking. From my experience I could never look down on a client that is in need of help. If they could handle the issue with positive results alone, they would not have asked for help. In my asking for help it did not come with the attitude of you owe me, but the response was the person wanted what was best for me. In my experience I would want what was best for the client and I would express that to them as I walk them through the process. In my experience the person was not trying to gain anything from helping, just the fact that I would get better, so that I could go back to a life that I once live, which was my independence. This experience would help me in my approach to the client that is asking for
