When I was thirteen, I fell off the top bunk of my bunk while sleeping, hitting my head on the bedroom wooden floor. An ambulance took me to the hospital where I was diagnosed with nocturnal epilepsy. The treatment included a daily dose of medications. My nighttime epilepsies caused memory loss, sleep deprivation, and drowsiness. In addition, my neurologist sidelined me from football. CAT scans were required to study my brain activity and doctor appointments every week made it hard to keep up in school. Although school was difficult to manage, I had amazing counselors and parents, who helped me stay organized on top of my studies. Toward the end of 10th grade the number of my seizures gradually decreased, which improved my memory and sleep
