I sat in my desk, rapidly tapping my foot. I had been waiting all day moving from class to class staring at the clock, watching time slowly tick by. The last bell of the day rang, and school was finally over. I was so excited to get out of the bitter, grimey, discouraging school and leave for a beautiful, warm and relaxing place called Orange Beach, Alabama. I said goodbye to my friends in the hall, then briskly walked over to Jordan at his locker. Jordan had a melancholy look on his face, he knew that this was goodbye for a week. I gave Jordan a meaningful, warm hug, resting my head on his shoulder breathing in the alluring smell of his cologne. I was sad to leave Jordan and all my friends for a week, but yet I was excited and knew I would have fun on my adventure ahead.
My brother and I walked out to the school parking lot and quickly spotted the black Chrysler Town and Country Van, because strapped to the top of the vehicle

The sun was shining perfectly on the water making it look sparkly. The sand on the beach was so white it looked like fresh fallen snow. I walked down to the beach bringing my dark blue eight foot surfboard and black and blue wetsuit with me. The swells were perfect and the waves were about four feet tall as they broke. I was so excited to get in the water I quickly zipped my wetsuit up and attached my leash to my right foot. I jumped in the water and began to paddle out on my board to the break of the waves past the end of the pier. The salty water splashed into my mouth and my wetsuit absorbed all the water it could. I picked out a nice beautiful wave, turned my surfboard around and began to paddle as hard as I could. I could feel the power behind the wave and as it began to break I popped up onto my feet but I quickly fell off. I kept trying this for several waves and when I finally caught a wave it was
