Throughout my life, I've been faced with many challenges, some more frustrating than others, that I've overcome. Take for instance the trials I faced my junior year while taking AP Calculus AB. The material was more perplexing than any other math class I had taken before, and I struggled through practice problem after practice problem without improvement. By the end of the first semester, I wasn't sure I could pass the class, let alone the AP exam come May. But I decided I was going to do everything in my ability to pass. Overcoming AP calculus was more than just mastering a few mathematical concepts by this point, I realized I could seize this chance to improve my study habits and concentration. So, steeling myself, I headed into winter break
