July 18 1999 Popayan, Colombia. A little girl was born, that little girl was me, Magdiel Nathalia Caballero Torres. I am the daughter of Eduardo Caballero Sarmiento and Sandra Yolima Torres Laverde, sister of Daniel Eduardo Caballero Torres, and Daniel is 13 months older than me. They are from Bucaramanga, my parents as pastors decided to travel from Colombia, city by city, helping the churches that needed a pastor, but also establishing new churches and helping the community. The capital of Colombia, the immense city in Colombia, an urban city. I never saw something like this before, and here I started to go to kinder garden a new experience for a little girl. My father and mother initiated a shelter for the underprivileged girls of the community that didn’t had a home or their home is really poor and not had enough money to give them food. The shelter gave food, the same foot that my parents gave to me. Some of the girls not had enough money to go to the school so my father taught them the basic lessons. Occasionally a place to live from Monday to Friday with the girls. No matter that I had to share my toys with them or didn’t have the privileges that other people had, I learn to appreciate the things that I have, and, to help others the most that is possible. Pastor Trejos have connections with the organization New Beginnings in Canada, which send humanitarian help to Colombia and my family was a beneficiary of this articles that come from a different world from my eyes, beautiful things that doesn’t exist in Colombia but that I have because my friend gave me the cool toys and my family gave the foot, clothes, medicine to the poor people in the city. The time passed, everything looked good, but we had to move it to Cali to start a new life, a new church, to start in zero,
