As a kid I never in a million years imagined sitting on a roller coaster. I always heard the stories about the accidents that occurred during the ride. Whether it was the harness flying open and you falling off of the roller coaster or it breaking down halfway through the ride and you either left hanging upside down or stuck hundreds of feet in the air. All of it was too crazy for me. Also not to mention the unpleasant feelings that take place while your on a roller coaster. The feeling of your stomach churning and your breathing getting heavier just wasn’t for me. Until one day I went to Cedar Point.

We walked in and I started freaking out. I felt as if my heart was going to burst out of my chest. Everyone tried to calm me down and reassured me that nothing would happen. I was told to give one ride a try and I could sit out after if I wanted to but that I probably wouldn’t. My friend decided she wanted to go on Top Thrill Dragster first, which is supposedly the scariest ride there. It goes from 0 to 120 mph in seconds and go up to 400 feet. She said to me “If you can go on this ride, you can go on any ride” and so I did. Waiting in line for over an hour was the worst part as all these crazy thoughts going through my head. We finally reached the roller coaster and as they fastened my harness I considered making them stop and letting me go. They pulled our carts forward to begin the ride and I didn’t have time to say anything when all of a sudden we’re going at 120 mph. I shut my eyes not knowing what was going to happen next, so next thing I knew it we were going up and it felt like it was never going to end. Coming down from the 400 feet drop was the scariest moment of my life but also the most exhilarating. After that I wanted to do it all over
