So you’re a freshman now. Hooray for you, you’re a high schooler. But which friend group should you choose? Will you fit in? Will they like you? High school can be a scary and exciting place with lots to learn, but everyone needs a few good friends for support. Friends like you.

There are different types of clicks when it comes to friends and their groups. Making sure you pick the right one is important to how your high school experience will go.

The Bad Kids. The bad kids is the group of kids who don’t get treated right at home, or who don’t have a good life at home. They don't do there work, slack off in class, skip class, skip school, bully others, do drugs, and ect. If your friends with them, then you will start doing bad in school because they're telling you to do bad stuff and influencing you to be one of them and you don't want to be one of them. If you do drugs, you’ll get caught and have the cops put you in jail. If you’re put in jail, it stays on your records and you'll most likely be in jail for other things in your life and no one will want to hire you. Your grades will start falling because of it and you may not graduate. It will be even more difficult if you are trying to play catch up on all your classes. Then getting a job after high school will become difficult. Most employment places want you to at least have a high school diploma...even McDonald’s.

The nerds are the ones who don't goof off and don't skip class. They are at school for everything including extra curricular activities. They get fantastic grades, they do all of their work, do everything they're told to do and don’t back talk. But most people don't want to be considered a nerd because nerds get made fun of and bullied a lot just because they're nerds. Most people would be a normal student that’s not as smart as a nerd.
