I take great pride in being involved and helping others throughout my high school career. Community service is extremely important to me. Giving back to the community that I have grown up in makes me feel good. I help out every week at my church, Cross Point Family Church. I have learned, from my dad, how to run the PowerPoint presentation. Every week, I put together the entire slideshow and I run it on Sunday. I have been very lucky to get the opportunity to help out in this way. I have also been a member in the National Honor Society from my sophomore until my senior year. National Honor Society has taught me to serve others and it has given me motivation to keep my grades up. In April of this year, I was accepted into the National Council of Youth Leadership. It was a big honor for me to be accepted in, as only five students from our school are chosen to attend the conference and get recognized. I was very surprised that I was accepted, and it was a great experience for me to be involved in. I have also lettered in academics every year of high school, which is the equivalent of being on the A honor roll. Grades are very important to me, because I value my future and I want to put my best foot forward. Being involved in many things has made me a better person.
