If I did. It have the privilege of a phone, I would probably have no idea where my family is. My parents have four children and we are all super involved. I work on the plays here at Cabrini and sometimes in my community, my brother plays in the Jesuit band, my youngest brother does karate and my younger sister does karate two days a week and dances. My parents are constantly pulled in a million different directions between their own lives and ours. Without my phone sometimes I would not even eat! In the weeks before the play I was not getting home until 7:00 and often my mom would be at karate and I would not know if she had set aside food for me or if my family had eaten well over their share forcing me to stop and get McDonalds. After I get my new car I would set maybe a quarter aside in savings and give the rest away to my parents. This project has made me realize that they really need it! I now understand what I cost and I can only imagine that quadrupled. They sacrifice a lot for us and I know that they often go without so we can have something. Not only do we all attend private school and have expensive hobbies but we always take a vacation at least once a year. My parents are amazing and I'm not quite sure how they do it but I am very thankful for them.
This project has rung up some concerns about money and my future however, it has not made me change plans. I already had high aspirations to become a Speech Pathologist so as soon as I land a career I should do just fine however, I am worried about the meantime. This project has made me conscious of my spending and what my parents spend. I have suggested to stock up while everything is on sale for black Friday.
