The Cons project, it was a day that I cleaned up and won, it was a day when I watched my friends clean up and it was a day where Converse learned that they shouldn’t invite us to skate with them ever again. On that day I skated harder than I had ever had before, I skated with professionals and held my ground and I’ve never skated faster than that day. I’ve also never fallen as hard as that day too but that’s a story for another day.
On the day of the Cons project before I was bruised, battered and beaten by my board, I had woken up like any other day but soon realized that it was the day of the Cons Project and my nerves were shattered. I met up with my friends Aaron and Isaiah, got on my board and it felt like a well-worn pair of slippers. We all got off at Dufferin and skated down a huge hill, the type of hill that wouldn’t feel out of place in the Sound Of Music. Isaiah liked to power slide which is the skating equivalent of a drift and on that hill it was suicide, he promptly ate dirt when tried to do one and me and Aaron skated past him.
In the end we all made it to the Cons Project in one piece and the first thing we noticed was the food truck which was free for all the skaters. Isaiah, the man who knows no shame ordered what was essentially the whole menu and ate it. It was fair to say that Aaron and I were truly disgusted by this. Isaiah’s defense was that he liked burritos, burgers, and chicken. All of a sudden a bullhorn blared out that the event would start soon and from that point Isaiah and Aaron would be both my friends and my
