Once I arrived at the hospital, I was rushed into the emergency room. I received an X-ray to examine if I had any broken or fractured bones and received a dose of morphine to prepare me for the pain that would come next. The nurse took a four-inch needle and injected my bone with an anesthetic to numb the bone. The doctor then proceeded to pull by toe upwards to reposition it back into its original socket. I screamed, cried, and was in agony at the amount of pain that I was experiencing. I received another dose of morphine to ease my pain but could still feel the doctor tugging at my toe and forcefully pushing it into place. When the doctor had finished, I began to relax, but what I feared the most now was how long I would be unable to play soccer. The nurse wrapped my foot, gave me a pair of crutches and a warm blanket, and helped me to my car for the long ride
