Since I never shut up the constantly talking helped with my speech. It took time for speech, reading, and writing to improve, but with time, my impediment lost its grasp on me. In middle school, my English teacher recommended I take an honors English class for me it was a shock but a wonderful surprise at that. In the honors classes it was a struggle, but with enough work, it became easier. As I progressed through school, I continued to take challenging classes, not only in English, but also in a range of classes. Currently at my school, I am an ambassador for my school and I have job at Starbucks where I start conversations all the time. To my younger self it is a portentous deal to be able to speak in front of people without worry about having to repeat yourself three times. My impediment taught me that it is possible to overcome a disability or anything. If something is difficult that does not mean you accept it, it means you work harder until it comes naturally.
