After I filled up my stomach, I felt a wave of tiredness wash over me. I found a small divot in the dark cave wall several feet away from my previous battle, and decided to sleep this exhaustion away.
It is now the next morning, or what I would consider the next morning because I have no way to tell what the real time of day is. As I lift myself from my temporary home, I stretch my new body arching my back. My claws instinctively scrape into the cave floor as my mouth opens wide in a satisfying yawn. My small but very sharp teeth shine blue in the light of the luminescent mushrooms. I glance over at yesterday’s battlefield to see the bloody bone pile of which is all that remains of the giant bat.

I figure that means that the snake doesn’t have any venom in it’s fangs, that or my scales were able to keep my flesh from the poison, either way that's good news. The snake seems to be one that focuses on strangling its prey by wrapping around it, and it takes advantage of this environment to catch its prey by surprise. With a quick glance around I notice red in one of the far holes in the wall. Good because I have an idea. I heard a brief rustle. Where did it come from? SHIT! It’s above me!! The snake plummeted from the plant fibers above. I reeled up onto my hind legs and stretched my front legs up above me. My palms of my front limbs wrapped around the snake as it landed on top of me. The weight pushed me onto my back with the snake inches from my face. My limbs try to hold back the snake but this bastard is slick, and begins slipping through my grasps. It slowly inches towards my face. Damn it! Not like this! I will not be bested by a piece of shit like this! I took a deep breath in and my bodily instincts took over. I opened my mouth and a thick miasma liquid sprayed out. This purple and blue liquid shot out of my throat and drenched the aghast serpent. The frightened snake jerked away letting out a terrified screech. The snake began to dart away. Hah that will teach the slippery jerk! I boasted of my new found ability, but what the heck is it? Acid Spit? Death Goo? Yesterday’s lunch? I watched as the serpent slithered away in a hurry, before it stopped and look confused. Relief could be seen in the snake's eyes as its eyes inspected itself. Shit, does my awesome new ability not do anything? Crap I don’t have time to sulk. The snake’s mouth turned to a grin as it realized that the strange liquid didn’t seem to hurt it. The serpent shook its head for a brief moment to try to get a bit more of the goo off it, before
