April 19, 1775. The first shots were fired just after dawn in Lexington,Massachusetts the morning of the 19th. Who Shot First? The Americans! At dawn the Americans were the first to shoot.
The smell of fire traveled as far as miles away. A family of four including me, having no choice but to do what was right for everyone. Me and my family lived on the farm. If you live in a small town then rumors come and travel very fast. The rumor was that the British Regulars were coming in a couple of days notice. So the village started to pack all of their belongings and move out seemed like in a matter of hours. Even in our house we started to pack u very quickly so we would not have to tun into the British anytime soon. The day went by and we started to pack up all of our belongings. Then we packed up all of the things into the car. We checked around the house just to make sure we did not leave anything behind. Then we went outside and my dad said “we have to burn down the vegetation”. At first my mom was crazed by the idea, then she thought “the worst thing we could do was fuel the people who are trying to take over us”. So we started a fire then got a stick on fire with some of the paper attached to the stick so it would burn for a longer time period. Our bodies are giving out. 2,500 people have died from disease and exposure. And weapons are very limited. Hundreds of our men are leaving us. I have searched up on this type of letter and I saw that their were not many letter like this ever. So I decided to keep this letter in a very safe place. I could only imagine what those soldiers went through. Except some of the things that I searched up included that this was on Christmas. In Fact it was Christmas Eve. All of the Americans opponents were partying and having a great time in a village because they had found a place to stay and were “hung over” and having the time of their life. No one ever in the history of wars apparently has never fought with each other on Christmas before. Because on Christmas is when they decided to meet their families and celebrate then they would go back to war the next day. Except george washington had a great idea about to attack them in the village that night. So they crossed the sea then they went to the village and they captured everything single one of those soldiers. They brought them back to where the Americans were camping out.
